Your game on this device
Portal Post is a single-player game intended for ages 13 and over. It does not require a player account. Completed levels, scores, stars, preferences and an interrupted attempt are saved in the app’s local storage. We do not upload your progress to a game server or provide cloud synchronisation. There is no player chat, public leaderboard, in-app purchase or payment form.
The game also keeps your optional advertising choice, ad-frequency records and a small recovery receipt on the device. These help respect your choice and apply an earned extra life once to the correct attempt. The game does not ask for your exact date of birth or an identity document.
Local records remain until you remove them through Android’s app-storage controls. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can remove progress; device transfer behaviour can depend on the platform. Removing local records does not delete emails you have sent or data already held by Google. We have no server copy of your progress to restore.
Advertising is optional
You can play and retry levels without enabling advertising. The advertising path starts only after an optional age-band choice of 16–17 or 18+. An under-16 choice, no answer, or choosing to continue without ads does not start ordinary Google privacy or ad requests. The choice is self-reported and stored on your device; it is not identity verification.
For an eligible choice, Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) contacts Google to check which privacy messages and choices apply. This privacy check itself uses connection, app/device and choice information before any later ad request. Protective age-treatment signals are supplied to Google; the game does not send a birthday. Players in the 16–17 band receive Google’s teen treatment.
A ready full-screen ad may appear at selected breaks after a successful level, when you choose Next. After an eligible failed attempt, you may choose to watch a rewarded ad for one extra life. No ad interrupts active counter play or blocks a free retry. Closing before the reward is earned does not award a life. An unavailable ad never takes away Retry. Ads do not change the level’s normal schedule; earned recovery restores one life and gives current customers a short grace period where the remaining schedule allows it.
Privacy choices and non-personalised ads
Portal Post uses Google AdMob. It requests non-personalised ads, disables advertising personalisation separately and applies Google’s G ad-content limit. Non-personalised advertising is still data processing: contextual information and identifiers may be used for delivery, measurement, frequency limits and fraud prevention.
The game follows Google’s current permission to request ads after its privacy check. Declining a consent option may limit or prevent advertising; it does not necessarily prevent every form of ad Google permits under your choices. The game does not switch on personalised ads if you accept a broader optional choice in Google’s message.
Use Options → Privacy choices when that button is available to revisit Google’s regional choices. Use Options → Advertising options to change the local age/ad choice. You may use “Prefer not to say” to leave the advertising path off. Disabling the game’s ad path invalidates prepared ads and stops new game-initiated ad requests. A Google service already started in the process is not uninstalled by changing a setting, and previously lawful processing is not undone.
Information used by Google
When its services run, Google can process your IP address and approximate location, app/ad interactions, technical diagnostics, and device or other identifiers. These support advertising, measurement, service operation and fraud prevention. The game does not request precise-location access. Removing Android advertising-ID permission does not remove every identifier.
Google’s published SDK information describes encryption in transit. Google may use permitted advertising partners and has its own processing responsibilities. See how Google uses information from partner apps, Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s retention information for recipients, storage, international transfers and available controls. We do not set a single retention period for information held independently by Google.
Portal Post has no separate player-analytics or developer-operated crash-upload service. This does not remove the advertising and diagnostic processing described above.
Purposes and choices
We use local game records to provide the game and preserve your progress. We rely on our legitimate interests in answering support requests, operating and securing the website, and obtaining and respecting privacy choices. Advertising storage or access uses consent where required; Google’s privacy messages explain applicable consent and legitimate-interest purposes, partners and available objections. Ad personalisation remains disabled.
You may withdraw applicable consent or object through the available privacy choices, and you can contact us about our processing. If you do not want the optional advertising path, use “Prefer not to say” in Advertising options. The game remains playable.
If you contact support
When you email us, we receive your address, message, attachments and ordinary email metadata through Google’s Gmail service. We use this to answer your request and investigate the issue, not to add you to a mailing list. Please avoid passwords, identification documents or unrelated sensitive information.
We retain correspondence only while needed for the request, necessary follow-up or legal obligations. A level number, game version, device model and short description are usually enough. Google’s Privacy Policy also describes its email-service processing.
This website
Our public website is served through Cloudflare Pages. The pages contain no analytics or advertising scripts, forms, embedded third-party media or remotely loaded fonts. We do not set application cookies here. Hosting still processes connection information, such as IP address, requested page, time and technical browser details, to deliver and protect the site.
See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for its service practices, retention and international transfers. Links open other providers’ services and terms. An email link opens your chosen mail app; no message is sent until you send it.
Your rights and requests
Contact viktor.sunnersjo@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests about information we hold. Depending on applicable law, rights can include access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent. We may need enough information to address a request, but will not ask for unnecessary information.
Provider-held data is managed separately from your local progress. You may also complain to your relevant data-protection authority, including IMY in Sweden. We update this dated policy when relevant practices change.
